Dear Reader,
There is a magic to waking up. These days you can say there is even a science to it. Our brains go through sleep delta brainwaves to theta semi sleep and then we go to alpha morning chill and then once we start our daily activities like job we’re in beta. The same sequence goes other way around while on our way to sleep. That’s why I love to take a nap/meditate 30 minutes after work cause it allows me to chill into alpha and then carry on afternoon starting out from this relaxed state. Going back to morning, this is my morning routine that I enjoy:
- While still in bed I put on meditation track, I enjoy hemi syncs for years, just music not guided ones
- After track finishes I say some affirmations
- I go out to my terrace and take a look at the beautiful view that I have and just enjoy it and I’m grateful by paying full attention to it
- I do 5 minutes heart-brain meditation to improve coherence
- I read meditation from Three Magic Words by US Andersen
- I read excepts from books like “Heart Thoughts” by Louise Hay or “A deep breath of life” by Alan Cohen, lately my favourite is “Question your thinking, change the world” by Byron Katie. I have a few more like “Tao te Ching”, “Trust life” by Louise Hay, my most recent additions is “A year with Rumi”. What all of them have in common is that I open them at random page (let the Universe decide 😀) and enjoy them, their formula is ‘devotional’, short separated chapters meant to inspire
- I do mirror work in the bathroom
Seems like a lot but it doesn’t feel like it at all. The most important thing it to make start of each as pleasurable as possible. I check email and bunch of applications I use either last thing before leaving the flat or once I’m in the office. I take the phone from the charger and look for the first time right before leaving the flat. I never read or watch any news before being in the office.
Take a look how you start your day and maybe 🤔 change something about it. Once you see how it affects your whole I’m sure you’re going to keep on doing it
I love Life and Life loves me
