How I Guard My Headspace

People often ask how I actually stay in this mindset of self-worth and surrender. The truth isn’t found in a single epiphany; it’s found in how I aggressively protect my peace before the world gets a chance to mess with it.

I have a morning routine. On paper, it looks like a lot. In reality, it’s just me being extremely selfish with my time so I don’t end up being someone else’s “people pleaser” by 9:00 AM.

The Rules of the House:

  • The Digital Firewall: My phone stays on the charger. I don’t check emails, news, or notifications until I am literally walking out the door or sitting at my desk. If you let the world into your head before you’ve even brushed your teeth, you’ve already lost the day.
  • The “Universe” Strategy: I have a stack of books—Rumi, Byron Katie, Tao Te Ching. I don’t “study” them. I open them at a random page and let whatever is there hit me. It’s a moment of play, letting the Universe decide what I need to hear instead of my ego.
  • The Mid-Day Reset: After work, I don’t just “keep going.” I take 30 minutes to nap or meditate. I force my brain into an Alpha state—that relaxed, creative frequency—so that my afternoon is a fresh start, not a continuation of the office grind.
  • Heart-Brain Coherence: I spend 5 minutes on a quick meditation to get my heart and brain on the same page. It’s not about being “spiritual”; it’s about biological alignment.

It might seem like a lot of steps, but it doesn’t feel like work. It feels like pleasure. The most important lesson I’ve learned is that the start of the day should be as enjoyable as possible.

I’m not “fixing” myself with these habits. I’m just making sure that when I step out into the world, I’m coming from a place of “Home” rather than a place of “Hunger.”

Take a look at how you start your day. Are you inviting the world in, or are you building a sanctuary?

I love Life and Life loves me.
